bright minds

david kim

When we first met David he was competing at the 2011 Toronto Brain Bee.  That summer David earned a research position in Sheena Josselyn’s neuroscience lab at the Hospital for Sick Children.  He also helped Firefly create this video about where your memory is stored in the brain.

David placed first in the 2012 Toronto Brain Bee and did us all proud when he went to McMaster University in May/12 and placed third in the Canadian National Brain Bee.  Next fall David will be moving to Baltimore where he has been accepted into the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine.

Whether competing at the brain bee, studying medicine, playing golf or winning the next swim meet David is a bright light and we are proud to know him.
